This directory subtree contains files for the Alpha AXP version of
Linux.  Alpha is a high-performance 64-bit RISC processor architecture
designed by Digital Equipment Corporation (aka DEC).  Notice that
"Alpha" has nothing to do with the quality of the software in this
tree---it's simply the name of the processor.  To avoid confusing
people looking for experimental software, we named this directory
"axp" instead.  In case you wondered what AXP stands for, the simple
answer is: nothing.  The sole reason for its existence is so that DEC
was able to trademark the name.
